Tick, tick, tick for the syllable count, internal and external rhymes. Plus, your word choices perfectly convey the intended tone of the poem. And to top it off, the angel in a bubble is an ideal match for the subject. So, well done, Melissa. Best of luck in the contest!

Great job with your essence poem, Melissa! I like your fresh choice of rhymes (wistful-blissful, mood-solitude) - very creative for this extremely tight short form! Best wishes in the contest!

Perfect entry for the contest. It paints an idyllic scene in just two lines. At the end of the day, that's all I want- some blissful solitude. Love the artwork as well.

Those who haven't tried the essence poem don't realize how tricky--and challenging--it is to convey a lucid, poetic thought in just 12 syllables!
Your essence poem is lovely and meaningful.

I really appreciate you saying how complicated this form can be. I did find myself pushing and pulling to make it all correct. Thank you Janice for your understanding on this one. :)

Encased in a bubble with nothing to fear and no noise to be heard, writing to your heart's content, Melissa. :) But two lines? I expect a lengthier poem shall emerge from your pen of delights. :) This is a good offering for the Two Line Poem Contest. Thank you for sharing.

Yes indeed. This is a neat solution to the challenge. Happy on your own it seems while i struggle to wright something sensible in review that takes up more than one hundred and fifty characters.

Hahaha... I know what you mean. Perhaps you should develop a closing line like Sally has done. She says what she wants to say and then pops on a generic line she uses for each review. Effective and I do not think FS Tom has said anything to here about it. Thanks!
