Aiona,
This is a cute and fun poem of mono-rhyme quatrains about baking and eating muffins or scones. If it is italian, how do you know what the ingredients are unless you know Italian. And if you do then you'd know if they are muffins of scones. Why not use Google Translate to find out.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Joan

Thanks, Joan. The woman who gave me the recipe is Italian. She calls them "biscuits" which in England are what Americans call "cookies." But she says they're "soft," and cookies aren't usually soft. So I think something is lost in the translation from Italian to English. When I made them, I forgot to put in egg. So it turned out to be shortbread consistency. I'll try with egg next time, and then maybe I'll be able to tell if they're muffins or scones, or neither! LOL! Either way, what I made (even without the egg) was so tasty!!!! I used it as a pie crust for a chocolate pudding pie that was FANTASTIC.

Good rhymes... I like this poem. A lot of thinking was given to this poem. You deserve the credits.

The end paragraph: "Eat them muffins!" can symbolize everything has a beginning and a ending. Hopefully you enjoy eating the muffin and it is a good ending.

How interesting are your comments after your 20 line poem. I have a recipe in Hungarian just like that and can't read it. Your poem is short lined with a nice flow. It should do well in the contest so good luck.
