This journey certainly whets the appetite for travel, reminding us starkly of those trips we are missing as we must hunker down at home for another while, at least. Both evocative and wistful and really wish I had a 6. Should be in the winner's enclosure - has my vote.

This is so beautifully written my friend, oh yes indeed, the worst thing about not being able to travel, is that restriction ties freedom in knots. I loved this, even though this has been only a short time, it speaks of that precious commodity...freedom. Excellent job, in ballad style, good luck, blessings Roy

This was a very unique way to describe a road trip. I liked the style with which you rhymed; rhyming on the first and last line of each stanza. The ending showed that you brought the experience back to reality which indicated that everything in the previous stanzas was merely a beautiful memory.
