This is a good rendering of what things have felt like for so many during this time. As you allude to -things will get better and As we all know, that is what keeps people moving forward-and reading for hope.

Thanks for the excellent review and your perspective on the piece. This will not only be about the epidemic; it will unfold into a wider vision of the apocalyptic world we live in now. As the world removes itself from God, it grows darker and darker. Until the intervention, when the light comes back through. estory

This is incredibly depressing, made all the more so by the matter-of-fact tone with which everything is reported. If the lights all start to go out one by one, and we all become non essential, then why wait for it happen? Just to suffer a bit longer?
Time does not care if everything stands still; we're not so much standing still as in a coma.
I'll take your word for it and wait for the light.

Thanks for the excellent review and I am glad that the intense visuals and monotone of the narrative was able to really drive home that sense of despair, of emotionless coma of living. That is the effect I intended and I am glad it worked. I was a bit surprised at the popularity of this, since it is a bit depressing. It will warm up and move into the light towards the end. estory

Very well written. Spiritual poem. It's all so scary. Is this the beginning of the end?Social distancing people in masks the number of infections rises the rate of hospitalization rises and the death toll rises. No children in playgrounds no school no church. All so devastating . Everything virtual. Sad sad world right now I so agree. I hope and pray for an end to this pandemic.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and it is always great to hear about what works specifically. I was glad that line seemed to work to drive home this sense of death coming closer and closer. estory

Interesting subject that not many want to discuss without their teddy bear and happy place near by. It is coming, I am one hundred percent sure of it. I believe in the Rapture and that God will call the believers in Christ into the air shortly before His judgement as described fully in the book of Revelation and I Thessalonians. Not all Christians believe this, but I do. God will also wrap up unfished business with Israel before the seven year tribulation is through and Christ returns to set up His millennial rule upon the earth. Right now, we are in the pre-tribulation stage with suffering, pandemics, earthquakes, wars, and rumors of wars. Worldwide unrest and Christian persecution is a part of this as well. As Dickens said: of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only. 2021? Sounds very much like now, doesn't it?

I will stay tuned. The study of the end times is one of my weird hobbies. I'm working on a prose piece right now. Great, great start you have here!

Sending you my best today as always,
Sally XOs...

I appreciate your five star review and your very interesting words in support of this piece. I think you are completely in tune with what this piece will be about, and I think you will find it interesting. There will be a deffinite movement through the despair and darkness of these end times, which I hope to illustrate in very contemporary terms, towards the intervention of Christ. My goal here is to shake people into seeing that the events spoken of in Revelation are in face happening right now. Here. estory

I agree. This election and the wicked ones are taking root in our government, readying it for the AntiChrist. Sal

A very well-written poem about the feelings of doom that go through our minds during this time of lock downs and restrictions we going through and the death toll rising, we cannot help thinking about the beginning of the end of the world as we know the world.

This promises to be a very interesting rendering of the Book of Revelations. It is quite possible that you may have your finger on the right button. I have my suspicions of China being behind the overwhelming freezing of the entire world, except for the Antarctic. That alone raises my eyebrows. Then when we look into the Bible and see the creatures, such as Dragons, that are depicted, its almost like being blindsided.
Motive: Hong Kong Uprising, U.S. new Trade Deal and sanctions, ambition to be Top Dog, The Island built in the China Sea, spies placed in all the Universities, etc., etc., etc.,

Bring it on.

Yes, these are valid observation of what is taking place in some communities across the world, but not all. Though millions of people were infected and many have died, I think it is always important to keep things in perspective. The actual infection percentage is less that 5%. Not really an Apocalypse, not even a zombie one.

Interesting. As I read your poem, I pictured black and white images quickly popping on a screen behind you and you reading this in a deadpan, almost robotic fashion. When I read your notes it seems like that is similar to your vision. Makes the poem even better to create that without explanation. Well written, heartfelt, interesting. I like interesting.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and these interesting comments supporting the piece. You got exactly what I was trying to do, and I am glad the language brought to life this sense of despair, of emotionless, digital interfacing instead of face to face interchange. The look and feel is exactly what I intended. estory
