Dear Mystery Author,
You had me at "she offered a cushion if I fell". To me, such a wonderfully tender- yet powerful image. To be there to catch someone if they fall- offer it... do not demand it! Be there...but not obtrusive.
I am a big believer in- the small tender moments that make a relationship strong because of their softness.
I loved this poem and your craftsmanship!

Nice job with this. the essence comes across very well indeed. Excellently realised without the cliched and trappings of the usual love poem. There's a nice rhythm to it.
