The author knows what and how a child feels about school. I agree with him saying "Pet Day" is their favorite day. Kids have a good time with their pets. It is a good thing for them to share their loved pets.
"School is all homework now for me. My teacher sends it all to my "PC"." This slowly becomes the new nor now. Children will lose their learning opportunities at school.

Thanks for a nice review. I am a conservative, but never a fan of home schooling simply because of the social learning and adjusting that takes place in young ones who must get along with all kinds. I'm afraid that we are starting to raise recluses, self-centered and unable to adjust to others.

The final stanza really feels as if it was written by a child. It comes straight from the heart and I loved it. The other stanzas are an interesting summing up of what it must be like to work (if that is the right word) in this strange way. The biggest casualty will be the social development of our children. Factual knowledge can be crammed at at any future time but social deprivation will prove more difficult to remedy.
I found the wheezes for being absent while apparently present interesting, amusing and so very likely to be true.

My six grand children are dealing with it, but they don't like it! I'm just glad they are not teen-agers. Those must just really be suffering - and the athletes and musicians, trying to get scholarships! So sad. Thanks for stopping by!

Very well written, and I am sure portrays what a lot of children are going through at this time. Rhyming is very good. I hope you do well in the contest.
