This is a good free verse poem. There so many thing that could do this world in or at least kill all of us but the possibility that it will be a gradual thing that because it slow we won't even be aware that it is happening until it is too late. I was at least hoping it would be dramatic.

The world's condition is so depressing. I've had to cut down my news consumption. Too many frogs croaking out nonsense. I believe Jesus is returning soon. This may be out there, but I believe it to be one hundred percent true. He said the world world be a mess when He returns; wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, pandemics, apostasy of the faith and persecution. We are there. Water boiling....
A great poem for our times....

The concept is a bit spooky. Everything is moving so slowly per our perception that we, like the toad, take no notice that it is happening. Yikes, it may be too late sooner than we think.
