This is such a lovely psalm-like poem! It reminded me of another passage from the Psalms: "You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble;
You surround me with songs of deliverance. " Psalm 32.
Your poem shows the hope, refuge, and cleansing we have from God.

You certainly have met the requirements of this faith-related contest with this splendid tribute to one who has consistently brought you joy and comfort through difficult times -- one whose presence made dark woes fade; with patience and skill calmed your unrest, just as holy water gently cleanses the soul of fear, replacing it with love; provided a "restful haven" within which you feel safe and free; and makes you feel enlightened (in both senses) through wisdom imparted, so your mirror reflects the love now present in your tears of joy.
There's a depth to this poem that would take an entire book to plumb, and I am grateful for having had the chance to read and ponder it.
What a lovely world this would be if we all could provide such solace to one another. May your faith in the comfort you have found remain forever justified, as a rare, truly unconditional love has found you.
Superb, and aptly illustrated to represent freedom from troubles.

Just such a lovely faith poem Miss Susan.
I love the word choices used, it gives this an
olde-worldy flair, and the illustration
is perfect too.
Best of luck,
blessings...

Well written poem, great rhyming and it flows very smoothly. I line the line: "In you, I've found my hiding place; its restful haven shelters me." So great to awaken to a new day that God has given us, and feel His presence with us.
