You have some good literary techniques in this poem. It reminds me of the song Daisy, Daisy. I sense a bit of an allusion. Your metaphors add a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor. This was fun.

Ha! This poem actually describes my wedding day. Nicely done. A clever and creative way of saying so much: couples have to work together, its not all happily ever after etc.

"Bliss" is the perfect title for newlyweds, and to hold on to tranquility for as long as possible is blissful. The way you intertwined tandem with a relationship and avoiding potholes is quite cute.

I have never thought of marriage quite like this but, it makes sense. Avoiding cracks and potholes is what marriage is all about. Any couple can coast down hill, it takes both to pump the pedals.
