A perfect fit for Hamlet! ;) A fun one-man script here, Iza! ;) Thanx for sharing those grins, my lady, and I look forward to the continuation... ;) Yvette

Iza,

Good answer! Looks like, between the two of them, they got it figured out! hahaha

Fun piece -

I have a couple of notes - you are welcome to use or toss, of course:
1.) The scene represents one empty room. This is scene has only one actor that plays the two characters.
--> delete 'is' in the second line - but also consider the following edit: (or similar)
--> The setting is one empty room. There is only one actor who plays both characters.

2.) Evil Me: Listen up, hok(e)y-pok(e)y(,) you need for once

3.) Me: Then, you freaking, do it!
--> no commas

4.) Evil Me: So, everybody else, buddy!
--> Evil Me: (Same as) everybody else, buddy!

That's an interesting strategy to have one character playing two roles. Poor "Me" doesn't think he's qualified to play Hamlet, but there are bills to pay, and an actor has to keep working. With "Evil" it's not about principles, but how you're going to pay the rent. "Evil" is apparently going to take over and play Hamlet. At least he has the confidence. This is great. People do have these inner conflicts when they have an important undertaking coming up. Easy to follow the script the way you've presented it. It would be a fun undertaking for an actor to play Me and Evil Me. judi

You're very welcome. I'm so glad you're writing scripts, and I'll be interested to see how you continue with this one. You certainly have a great idea. I think a lot of us have those debates with ourselves! judi

You set up an interesting premise. Will it be Me or Evil Me that plays the part of Hamlet? First, the actor must get the part. Then the internal struggle is going to be fun to watch.

This is a very originaol write. I like it, it kept me in suspense, I think I have an Evil ne as well. I like this line a lot, "Evil Me: I cannot! I am alive because you need somebody to complain to."

Interesting choice of character there, in Hamlet. Suicide is the end of that play. It really speaks of the difficulties in navigating the demands of life around us. Nice sharp dialogue estory

Hi Iza
I really like the interplay between your good and evil side.
For me it expresses the depths actors have reach to be able to play so many different characters. I guess it is the art/essence of acting.
I'm intrigued as to where your story will go next. If you like you can message me and let me know when the next part is ready.
Take care Pete

Wickedly clever--you vs your dark side in a battle of wits--snappy and snarky conversation is a delight to read. I look forward to seeing these two sparring again in the next act.

Evil you is taking the role of Hamlet, and so you should, poor Me, he should be allowed to play whatever role he wishes...by then he's a lousy actor anyway, well done Iza, good luck, blessings Roy
Typo :Man, you are such a (boar) bore?

Lol. So if Evil Me and Me switch roles, how will we know the difference? Don't they look the same? But perhaps one of them will play Hamlet better. Is this a symbolic piece about work?
