I never realized that sneezing on a tree would bring the virus; what your saying is from outside Christmas tree lot. If you have an artificial tree I think you'd be safe from the virus....

Another beautiful rant, my Lady Iza: you have no idea how much I missed these over the past month!! ;) :) Glad I've got your 'in your face' facts and sarcasm back again -- take care and do TRY to have a Merry Christmastime! ;) :) Yvette

Wow you're under some lockdown up there. I have a tree, and we can go to church. You have to make a reservation online; they are only letting 75 people in the building at one time. but I'm not missing Christmas Eve service with my dad. But your piece speaks of the frustrations of being cooped up together with no let up, no festivities, and how it forces people to confront their materialistic attitude. I think you are right; people today are too focused on things, money and power. Maybe the best thing to do is read the Christmas story from Luke. estory

Your frustration comes through in fine form!
we kind of do [OMIT COMMA] need a house [OMIT COMMA} because
here [is winter=>WINTER IS] more than 6 months.
We can add new victims to the divorce rate [COMMA] also an increase reporting of domestic [violent=>VIOLENCE] incidents [OMIT: that ends up with broken dreams].
Coronella is to blame, or maybe [is something=>SOMETHING IS] wrong with us.
our love [HAS] become so materialistic
the kids [KIDS'] love is bought
hope of a [OMIT: mercantile] recompense

Indeed, Corona has brought out the worst in people. We lost the plot, try to break the bit, and all of what you have written is true - greed instead of need. Kids have no respect and they want not need. Christmas is the humble Christ giving love to all. Don't forget to look up on 21 st to see the Bethlehem star. First time in 800 yrs Jupiter and Saturn will align.

This is a powerful, profound, and truthful account of how the pandemic has turned so many people around. As you said, "We have forgotten how to love with our souls."

The statistics are getting a bit frightening, aren't they.
Couple of things...
Ms. Coronella, we kind of do need
Wait... you have sux months of WINYRT??!! Yikes!
I've read that with numbers less than 10, spell them out. 6, then, should be 'six'
And maybe saying 'with six months more' would be smoother reading.
Coronella is to blame
I think we have lost loving the way God wants us to love each other. It isn't easy, it isn't self-serving. But it is worth the effort and somehow we've forgotten that.
Get a tree!! There's research showing hoe long the virus can live on different materials. U cannot remember the exact numbers doe wood but it's not long.
My 16 year old granddaughter had COVID, as did my son in Alabama. It is definitely a terrible virus. And maybe it's much worse up there with a different mutation. I just hate that fear I'd out primary emotion now.
Blessings, sweet Iza,
Deb

It is so sad that so many relationships - marriages especially that was hurt during these stressful isolating times! You said it very well with "I think we forgot how to love with our souls."
Comments:
Coronella it' to blame, or maybe is
suggest changing to: Coronella is to blame, or maybe it's
You also used "mercantile" which is very interesting but I think you mean "materialistic"
"brought the curfew" (broke the curfew??)
