This 3-7-5, To Just Pause, has the right set up and gives us permission to see the killing winter cold in its triumphal entry into our world.

Bill thanks for your time taken to read and comment on this 3-7-5. Poem on winters dance.

You have made excellent use of all of your syllables in this lovely poem describing an offering of nature that demands our rapt attention. We don't get much snow in Mississippi, but when we do I can't stop looking!

Janice, thanks ?- nope not much white stuff in Mississippi, so I bet it is a nice delight on those occasions you can a flake or two.

A most contemplative poem for your 3-7-5 contest entry! Snowflakes with their myriad shapes are a good metaphor for your pause to consider the moment in time. You selected an illustration that just adds to the overall feeling.
'watching snowflake's dance' is a terrific phrase, but takes on a different meaning if written as 'watching snowflakes dance...'
I prefer a serif font for all my FanStory posts, but it is your poetic choice to disregard.

This is a creative idea and write for the 3-5-7 writing prompt. I enjoyed this - both the picture as well as your words. Best of luck to you in the contest.

An excellent entry for the 3-7-5 poetry contest, Mystery Poet.
You take a time-out to just marvel at the snowflake patterns "dance".
A "pause/present moment stuff" is perfect.
Nicely penned! Good Luck in the contest!
I don't think many people seize the opportunity to look at falling snow. They're too busy shoveling it!
Cheers,
Kimbob

Be in the moment. I love snowflakes and how unique each one is. Do not get to see it often. Reminds me of my childhood when I was blessed to see it every winter.

bnair, it is os true that we, as children, seem to connect more "at one" with the snow days. Heightening the anticipation of playtime and steamy hot cocoa .

My 6th graders did a snow study course. So I learned things I did not know. You may know the study done by Snowflake Bentley. We focused a lot on that. All of it causes one to pause.

Pausing to enjoy should be a criterion of life. How else do we acknowledge the beauty that surrounds us? We have to see more when we look than the surface. We need to understand the source.

Ralf, Hi and thank you so much. We do need to understand the God in all things....thus we need to pause.
