This is a wonderful story and I identify with it. Back in "our day" hubbies were not allowed in the delivery room. There are just two changes I suggest. One is to change "sex" to "gender" and the other is a typo here:
"he was wrong so he would write of (off) the hospital bill"
Fantastic for the doctor to be a friend and a good guy to help you out like that. Best of luck in the contest. Marilyn

How old is your daughter now?
I too was convinced I was having a boy and when I delivered my girl I got such a shock but she is beautiful and has given me 4 gorgeous granddaughters

A beautiful touching story about the birth of a baby! A baby is a blessing no matter what the sex....but to give birth to a girl instead of a boy would be a total surprise....did you shop early and purchase boy clothes?

Any addition is always a happy event. This sounds very much in the old days people got married because the girl was already pregnant. Else, the girl was still a virgin on marriage.
That was why people got married at teenage so that why can enjoy sex when young.

This is a great story. No one gets to stay in the hospital and be pampered that long anymore. They send you home the next day. I'm so glad things worked out well to you. You had a guy who really loved you to get on his knees and propose after a shock like that.

This is a lovely story, a real reminder of how things used to be, regarding births. So wonderful that your boyfriend loved you dearly, enough to propose then and there.
