Good choice of words. The poem shows two sides of people. People can be fierce and yet can be loving and caring.

Unfortunately there is no way/hard to stop people being violent. Whenever there is love, there is hate. Lately we seem to have more hate crimes the before.

I had to edit the last rhyming word from cub to thug ..

Its the best I could do or be disqualified..

Despite the change the poem does still put in light what you said .. the duality in all of us . .the good and bad

I agree sadly the hate in too many people lately has prevailed
