Cute and sweet story you created. Our works does work well together. Great overall on the story. If you get the chance look me up on YouTube (mkflood) there will discover numerous cartoon music videos of wide range of music and stories or topics. Some will make you laugh..some will make you tap your foot..some will make you think and some might even make you cry..the admission is free. That's a great nonet poem! You didn't force rhymes (which are not required) but instead, stuck to the message. The "sailsman" (great play on the well known play title!) gave up his love of winning sailing races for the love of his life! Best wishes in the contest!

Yes, I see where this could be a metaphor. In any case, it is meaningfully done and the message received. He fell, hook line, and sinker, and that changed everything.
