You write great descriptions, unknown author. One of my favorite descriptions is this one "The lawn is sugar-powdered now." This line captures so well the melancholy of the season.

I can remember in NY in 2010, we frolicked in the snow in NY Central Park, with grandchildren, but you're right, winter discourages children playing outside, that as a cold, but lovely day. This is divinely written with iambic tetrameter and abab rhyming, well done, good job,, blessings Roy
