Doncha just hate it when that happens? There just has to be a better line than "We have to talk," I'm thinking. Is it ever followed with something such as, "I just want to tell you, I think we should go to Disneyland."? Your poem describes what happens when the inevitable question gets asked. It looks like from the poem that Jim is not ready at all for the changes happening from the side of Linda because he is totally astonished and tortured. The whole scene looks very cruel. I feel this is a sad love story.

This is an excellent entry for the Love Bites contest. It has an interesting rhyme pattern and it flows beautifully. Your illustration, of course, pairs perfectly and sets the stage for your words. Nicely done.
