Clever little piece. Maybe the humans are too. Unfortunately for the turkeys, they still get caught and eaten. I like the accompanying photo. I wish you well with your entry in the contest.

Your wee Thanksgiving poem gave me a chuckle, even though we don't celebrate that day in this part of the world. You have cleverly woven in the idea of social distancing - a phrase that few of us were familiar with this time last year.

A very well-written two-line poem about the turkeys that decide it will be safer to follow the social distancing rules this year and hopefully being saved for another year.

If those turkeys were really smart, they would social distance from humans! hahaha The danger isn't with other critters on the yard, it's with that guy holding the ax. hahaha
