This is the first installment of your book I've read and it is riveting.
You do a wonderful job of relating what it must be like for a woman to have been used so badly and all the self-loathing that creates, though she doesn't deserve it.

Alejandro is a wonderful character, and there are those like him out there in the real world but it is sometimes hard to let those loving men in because women feel they either don't deserve them or that the man can't really be that good.
I worked as a counselor for many years and I can say that you captured all of this very realistically. I look forward to more chapters. Very well done.

Thank you so much for such an encouraging review. I'm so glad you liked it, that it seemed realistic to you. That means a lot to me coming from someone who's seen the mental anguish first hand and gives me an idea on how I should proceed.
Thank you again for reading my chapter, it's always greatly appreciated, take care.

You are more than welcome, Misty.
You are doing a service getting the word out in the public in this way. It's something people don't want to think about. Some just think the woman had it coming because of how she dressed or something. Anytime you want to run something by me as far as what I've seen in my career, please do. I feel for her. How hard it was to learn and accept yourself let alone that someone could love her after everything she has been through. Had it not been for him she may not have make out of that horriable state of mind.

Thank you so much for such a marvelous review, I am honored to receive such high marks. You're right, she's lucky she found the support she needs. Many don't and so they turn to drugs or alcohol to cope. These are the ones who usually OD, or commits suicide. The few who do survive, usually find a way to help the others.
Thank you again for all your help, support and friendship. It always means so much to me, take care.

It's always nice to learn that the happier times for Anna and others who have suffered abuse aren't gone forever. Time doesn't cure everything, but the pain will dim and someone who treats a person with respect and appreciation helps too. Thanks for sharing. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you so much for such a fantastic review. There are still rocky times ahead, but Alejendro helps her through it. You're right, they never fully recover. They have to accept what happened to them, put it behind them and move on. Make the best of the life they have left.
Thank you again for all your help, support, friendship and encouragement. It means the world to me. I hope you have a happy thanksgiving too.

Hello Mistydawn.

This is an important chapter because you explore the relationship between Anna and Alejandro. You also explore the consequences of self-esteem that has been destroyed. When people think they are bad, they make such bad choices.

Human trafficking is one of the worst crimes because souls are stolen and misused by evil people. There is no hope in that prison.

This chapter is quite good because you explain and develop the relationship as well as Anna's history and how it affects her life now.

Robert

Thank you so much for such a marvelous review. I'm very honored to receive such high marks from you. And your kind remarks, made my week.
You're right, they never fully recover. There's always a small part of this horror in the back of their minds. Of course, being arrested for crimes being committed under the pimps command revictimises them again. The pimps are heartless creatures, they see the girls as a business comity and not a human being. Personally, I'd like to ship them to the African jungles, let the beasts take care of them. Here, kitty, kitty, lol.
Thank you again for all your help, support, encouragement and friendship. It always means the world to me, take care.

It's great she was able to accept love. I think sometimes when people are severely abused they can't. I know this is fiction, but there are so many real people out there, and I really feel for them.

One of the things you address here is that sexual assault forever affects romantic relationships. It actually affects previously existing relationship that were wonderful 'til the attack and/or abduction. The loved one becomes the assailant. There is no separation. The loved one feels like an assailant. Until something clicks and there is communication. This is well addressed.

Thank you so much for your wonderful praise. I was so worried that her inner-struggles would make her sound like a basket case and not someone with emotion conflict the way I intended.

Misty,

A really good, really poignant and powerful chapter. I cannot imagine what trying to have a 'normal' life would look like for these poor girls. But you describe it well. All that self-doubt and self-loathing.

You're doing a good job. Thanks!

Notes:
1.) show others how you saved me from myself," (s)he coos.

2.) Horrid memory flash through my mind.
--> A horrid memory flashes through my mind.
--> Horrid memories flash through my mind.

Thanks, again!

Thank you so much for reading my chapter, catching my mistakes, and for such an encouraging review. These poor girls need extensive therapy. Many give up trying they either turn to drugs, commit suicide, or go back to their old life thinking that's all they're good for, all they know how to do. It breaks my heart.

Awe, this is a beautiful chapter, Misty. It shows the raw feelings that run so beautifully between them and Anna's mistrust in Alejandro's true feelings for her. No wonder, she has difficulty believing him. Wonderfully written. The best, I think. Ulla:)))

Mistydawn my what a wonderful chapter to read.
I smile at the love scenes. Then for some reason the love scene turns into where Anna and Alejandro get into conversation, which stopped the lovely when Anna put a halt to the love making; because, she has the felling that she is not the girl for Alejandro. I loved the last few lines of your well written chapter.

Thank you so much for such an encouraging review. I'm so glad I could make you smile. Poor Anna wanted to but the horrid memories came back. Luckily Alejandro was able to talk her through it. The two still have problems, but he's always by her side.

I can understand why this dear girl feels this way, when one is very young, and is told repeatedly they aren't worth anything, those words burn a hole in one's heart, and dominate one's thinking. Beautifully written my friend, how one breaks that in I'm not sure. Well done, blessings Roy

Thank you so much for reading my chapter. Sometimes I wonder if mental abuse isn't worse than physical. Wounds heal, but the cruel words stays with a person popping up quite often.
