We have a hummingbird on our deck, and the bees cannot resist it either! Thank you for adding your 7-7 couplet to the Renga book, along with the vivid picture and colorful text. Cheers- Joan

Lovely...love the image, love the imagery. The colours and words intermingle well.
A short poem...more or less your trademark nowadays, yet, how well you write them. Always a joy to read because you can tell your heart is in it.
Bravo.
Have a great evening.

Thank you for dropping by to share some thoughts. I enjoy these shorter pieces - but actually am looking forward to penning a few longer ones over the next couple of weeks. I appreciate your feedback, as always.

June, this little chapter is so sensual--even alluring. The image and pink color make it very appealing, but your words are perfect as well. I like the use of "honey bee--not just bee or bumblebee. Small things like that can make all the difference to me.
The nectar is also symbolic of many alluring things in life that people can't seem to resist.
Nice job.

So glad you got the depth of these two short lines! Many things in life can be alluring to us human bees as well! Thanks for taking the time to offer your insights.

Yours is a visually beautiful poem. The photography is startling. What a great accompaniment to your words.
"Allure" is a wonderful, potent word. Who among us, person, animal or insect, can resist an "allure so strong."
It is our nature as living beings to be allured to things, some good, some bad. In this case, the nectar will be satisfying to him and I'm glad for that. What I hate are the times in life when living being are lured into things not good for them.
Nice couplet.

A very well-written couplet about the alluring string nectar that the honey bee cannot resist. A good addition to the multi-author Renga book that seems to keep on going strong.

Now is this most fetching, June. The bee looks like he's found a sugar daddy for sure. Excellent colour choices and a story of natural attraction.
Thank goodness for those busy bees and superb contribution to the Renga book. :)

You've turned your simple two line 7-7 poem into a work of art with your poem font color the same as the more prominent color in the accompanying picture. Your words enhance the overall effect. Good luck with the contest.

Just read Gypsy's haiku--this is a fine segue! Bold presentation, vivid pink with yellow accents--sugg: make text large and bold so as to hold its own with stunning pic.
