Dear Mystery Writer,
I loved (almost) everything about this post! The image was perfect - a gray scene but still joy. The font and background color choices were excellent and added much to the theme.
Your words were riveting and inventive. The only tiny 'flaw' was in scansion here and there. Made the reading a little awkward in places but not enough to interrupt the enjoyment.
I've seen a couple of these entries so far and yours is best, no doubt. Thanks and good luck!

I love the way you have uncolored the world yet still give the taste of salt and perchance the feel of things too. Without color we still have the other senses to fall back on like the blind do.. Well done.
