I think you have created a very insightful piece. The world might appear grey and lifeless right now. And although we are powerless to change our circumstancesj - our outlook need not be grey and colorless. Inside our hearts and minds we can still maintain some joy - we can remember the scent of purple lilacs, the sounds of screeching bluejays, the feel of a baby's pink skin, and the taste of sweet red strawberries. Relish life.

Let's hope the promise of a vaccine for the virus will return the colour to our world. Your poem is well rhymed and brings home some grim facts about the suffering of human kind just now, a poignant write, love Dolly x

Different colors are like the freedom and spirit of different individuals of this world. It is hard to even imagine a world without colors. Or maybe we can think in this way: A world without colors is a world like a white paper, so gradually colors can be created from it.

I like your upbeat ending and the reminder that sight is not our only sense. We still have the joys of sound, smell, taste and touch - and memory of course. Some lovely lines in your poem. I particularly liked the effect of the alliteration in this:
left behind bitter winds that blow cold.

I very enjoyed how you organized your poem. You began with the visual loss and confusion and subsequent efforts by mankind to understand what had happened, and then went on to expound on the beauty of the other senses that still bring much joy.

Great job with this and I wish you much luck in the booth. :)

Quite beautiful, author. With the world in the grips of despair not many people smile. Without the rainbows in the sky (It hasn't rained here) I feel lost in a world of grey. Grey colored clouds in the morning greet me and there's nothing I can do. When the sun comes out, I see airplanes coloring the sky grey with their chemtrails. I always wondered if we are slowly being poisoned. Thanks for the sad smile. Good entry for the Colourless contest.

This poem does a marvelous job of describing what living in a GRAY world would be like. But what is most impressive is your moral: that we still have memories and our other senses to sustain us. Well done! Rod

I cant imagine a world without color. That sounds like a hard world to live in! But you are right the color lives inside of us. Where I live in can seem like we are living in a grey and white world in the winter! Exceptionally thoughtful and well written!
