I thank you for reviving this poem that I likely missed the first time around. With so many new ones every day it si impossible to keep up. This is perfect for the grays in our world since this covid 19 struck. I love how you faced the calamity and took on its challenge. "Bold colors, they still live within you, just remember, and your world will stay bright."

It was both a privilege to read and a pleasure to review: and parentheses, ?A world gone gray?

This is a very thought-provoking poem, and the reader could wander off down one of many leading avenues at this point. The thing it makes me want to say is do you realise that about twenty percent of us dream in black and white? The understanding of why this should be and what drives the phenomenon is a fascinating area of study at the present time.

Quite an uplifting poem. The hope buried in it is so awesome that going through the poem made me realize that despite the challenges we face there are many more reasons to cheer up and give thanks. Thanks for letting us have a glimpse into your inspiration.

ah, Boogienights, I really enjoyed the upbeat theme of your poem. Dim or dull the color of life, we still have memory and we still have other senses to delight in the message nature gives us. I see you've already won a contest with this entry. I'm not surprised. Congratulations.

You did a wonderful job with your poem.
And I see that you won...congratulations, you deserve it.
I thought there were a lot of nice images and the rhyming sequencing went well.
I particularly like the sixth stanza:
especially: "Can we still dream in color?" that was my very favorite line.
My second favorite line was in the last stanza:
"Bold colors still live within you."
Great job.

"Colourless" is a uniquely written masterpiece that beautifully paints a vivid picture of finding brilliant color in a world painted with shades of gray, by gleaming from memories and imaginations of lighter hints of bliss. And a world gone gray can still emanate prisms of color when gleaning from times of happiness.

Stunning piece in flawless flow and fine rhyme--startling and elegant--fresh take on the theme--savoring sounds, smells, and taste despite loss of color and taking comfort that flowers still bloom. This is the finest entry I've seen so far--may well be a winner--if not I'll be PISSED!
Congrats on your win!

Great poem! It puts on the table what we may probably know from ancient times, but forgot easily: we can paint reality the colour we want and show the world how real it can be.
A Spanish painter, Picasso, said once:
"Art is the lie that allows us to understand the truth".
Fully agree with the deserved recognitions. Congratulations!
