I enjoyed this brief but powerful post. You had me walking along with you and your significant other. I saw the things you mentioned and enjoyed that happy crunch beneath my own feet. *smile*
The only thing that jarred me a bit was the mention of Jack - if you refer to Jack Frost, it seems unfitting to consider him ornamenting the trees. But that's just me. (May be due to different seasonal changes depending on where we live.)

The ending of this walk would certainly make it memorable! Walking in the Autumn is glorious. I love the crunching and rustling of the leaves as well as the cool relief from Summer's heat.
