Sally,
You wrote a really nice flash true story. I would have been frightened too. I like the way you end it also, because it leaves a little mystery that won't soon be forgotten in the readers' mind. A real estate agent can be a treacherous job, because you never know what's behind a house door!
Best wishes, Sally.
Merry Christmas,
Hugs

So you liked this crazy thing? I'm so glad you liked it I thought it was so silly. I hope the judge likes it too. I was really sorry about the dog most of all and I still think about that poor creature.
Sending my best today as always and many thanks for your kind review and stars,
Sally XOs.....xo....

Damn! Is it over already. What happens next? Don't keep us in suspense. I think when it comes to writing, you are a pantser, but maybe, you're a plotter. All the same, you're someone we can learn from. Thank you. A most enjoyable read.

Thank you for the wonderful review and generous six stars, Daniel. It is greatly appreciated. Yes, this is a flash fiction around 100 words. I think I used the 102 that was allowed. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sending you my best today as always,
Sal :))

Whoa! You thought you found a dead body. AND this is a real story?! You must have been scared. I really do feel sorry for that dog. Real estate is not what I thought it was.

Thank you for the excellent review and insightful comments. Real Estate remains the hardest job I've ever had, but I do have some great stories to tell, too. I'm glad you enjoyed my flash. Sending you all my best,

This little story brought back some old memories that I would just as soon have forgotten forever. LOL. I bought and old run down lake house that needed to be torn down and rebuilt, which I never did. The smell inside was horrible and not one I was familiar with. But a stench I'll never forget. The culprits were two decaying bodies in the basement. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for the great review, dear Ric. I've heard about this! Corpses were found in the homes years after they were dead. This is unbelievable to me, but it does happen. Thanks so much for reviewing my work and having the stomach for it. I think this dog story was a little much for some of my reviewers. I marked it horror because it was horrible. I think you should join this contest! :) ;)
Sending you my best today as always,

Well, she had $$$$$ on her mind, Sally. You did a great job with your suspenseful contest entry. What a horrible thing to happen to the innocent dog. She should have been reported and to the ASPCA, too. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

That's a good way to put it and she really didn't have money on her mind. It still makes me furious every time I think about it and that's probably why I did this. Thanks so much for the wonderful review and your comments, dear Jan. Sending my best today as always, Sally XOs...

Wow. A sad and crazy story. Sounds like fiction. It's probably only me but when I read "Followed my nose.." all I can think of is Toucan Sam, so it removed me a little from the eerie story mode. Good luck in the contest.

How horrible. I can't imagine such a situation. I hope she lost her license. The home owner should have had to face charges as well. I'm glad it wasn't a human, but I feel almost as bad for the poor animal. Nicely written true flash.

Thank you, dear Beth. In Florida we report these things to the real estate broker it's up to the broker to deal with their real estate personnel. That's how we handle it here. Anyway, people have to do better than this. That poor dog I don't know how she sleeps at night after that one. Sending you my best today as always, Sally Xo...

Wow! That's terrible, Sally. Some people should never be allowed to have a pet. And some real estate agents should lose their license for not doing their work. They need to inspect a house and meet with the owner before they list it. If they do list it, they are responsible to the buyer as well as the seller. This story proved the agent had not been near the property from Day 1.
As for pet owners, some make me sick. I've seen many poor dogs tied to a tree their whole life. And yet dogs are still man's best friends. What can be done? They need to be fined, a hefty fine for animal cruelty.
Hugs,
Kimbob

Unfortunately, bad people can get married, have children, and own animals. It's a wicked world we live in and only through Christ can we improve. I hope that she was dealt with by her broker. In Florida the real estate broker deals with their sales people accordingly. I did the best I could from where I sat. I wasn't kidding when I said that I had given her an earful. I was livid.
Sending you my best today as always, and many thanks for your wonderful review,

So before someone lists a property are they supposed to at least put their head inside the building? Your account makes the reader wonder who put the rags in the cracks of the door & why. What courage you had. This is a just tribute to realtors. Well done.

How awful for you Sally, it's hard not to judge some people, but they've probably had a horror upbringing as well, and so the inheritance marches on, beautifully written my friend, thank you for sharing, well done, good luck, blessings Roy
