Hate to admit it, but I had one of them silly rings back in the day. I even tried mood lipstick - turned green on my lips! I love the seasonal colorskk but not on my body so much these days. A fun piece - lifted my mood. lol

I like the composition of this poem. The beautiful fall color were blended by the harvest wind, which in turn become a happy mode ring. It flows very well.

I enjoyed your analogy of the trees' Fall colours to a mood ring. (I used to own one all those rings decades ago, but stopped wearing it when the colour's interpretation kept indicating I was depressed. That was a good way to make me feel depressed when I actually felt quite happy.)

I love your metaphor. Your allusion will draw many readers in and puzzle others inviting them to scramble to research the wikipedia of the mood ring. This can become a deeper metaphor if people understand the dynamics of the mood ring. Mine was always black because my hands are always cold. Well thought out.
