Your use of personification will draw the reader in. It is as if the sun and stars have an agreement. There is no power struggle evident. It is just a smooth transition. This could serve as a strong metaphor. Well thought out. I am voting for this one.

Thank you for the very positive review, and of course your vote.

I never thought about sunlight leaving behind a gift for the stars. I think you would have a good children's book if you wrote a story about the sky leaving a gift for the stars because the stars give it something to look at.

Hello I'm anonymous,
Beautiful entry for the Nature 3-5-3 writing prompt contest. Lovely nature imagery. Good syllables count and connection between lines. Nice presentation.

Interesting, I thought you were speaking of the wild fires in California. Very clever, you did a great job expressing this in your poem. The picture added to your words. Good luck in the contest.

Really nice 3-5-3 poem and really gorgeous artwork.
This certainly seems to me to be a winner in the contest.
I can't think of anything to add or subtract to make it better.
If six stars were available for me to give you, I would.
Good luck.

The image color is wonderful and also are the words in your poem. I have been pondering on the sky; is it on fire? It reminds me of the Colorado and California fires.

This is an excellent 3-5-3 poem for the contest on nature.
Very good description of the skies and sunlight.
Nice addition of the rhyme skies/prize,
and use of alliteration of the "s" words.
Perfect picture match.
Well done.
Good luck in the contest.
