Congratulations on your win, Rod, with this beautiful homage to Nature as a fashion designer, seamstress, florist, and beauty queen. Wintry aspects of frost and dew are used to great effect; visual emphasis is strong, scent as well, to make for a delightfully sensory experience.

You write like a fashion designer! Loved the "silver frost brocade." We're approaching that time of when Nature is adorning herself with her winter "ball gown." Congratulations on the win!!

I don't look forward to the cold, either. But we can write about the beauty!

This short, colorful poem, Nature's Ball Gown, creates the image of the winter emergence as the seasons colors take on this dressy adornment. Nice.

Very outstanding writing. I Love your chosen words. Nature slips into her winter dress. A designer original that is flawless. The silver frost brocade is adorned with sequins gold and crimson and sparkling due for a ribbon. Very beautifully done. Breathtaking photo.

Wow what a stunning take on autumn for the Short and Colorful poem contest. I love the perspective you chose, personifying this season as an elegant lady, donning this eloquently described outfit, right down to beatiful corsage, Well done. Good luck :)

Dang your hide. I entered this contest but I ain't got no shot of winning with your entry being in the contest. I put my cursor on your poem and kept hitting the delete key but your submission is still there.

This poem has lovely imagery. The literary technique of personifications crowns the affect the reader will perceive. It saddens me that there are some who do not have the gift to be able to see and take in such beautiful sights. The picture described in the poem sounds like a scene in my state of Vermont.

Cold as ice is a form of nature, when snow is falling it's time to go and gather wood. If you don't and the lights go out, winter's dress one may wear, but only until the defrost. :) I like your poem it made me smile. Sorry about going crazy. :) This is a good offering for the Short and Colorful contest.
