Mystery Author,
Fun romp through a botched Thanksgiving dinner. I can only imagine the look on your face when you discovered what your guests had consumed...
Well done with a surprised ending.

This was a humorous account of a potentially embarrassing experience. Quick thinking on everyone's part saved the day. The reader will have to laugh as they admit they too have cooked the giblets in the turkey...all wrapped up. Well written.

Oh my goodness! They ate the giblets? Were they still in packaging? That's good that your guests were open to new foods and had strong stomachs! Best wishes in the contest!

Ciao Poet, I gave you your first of many votes I hope.
As I said in the note section below on contest page , I'm not surprised they gobbled up the giblets once you told them what they were ..
Asiatics are great consumers of aphrodisiac foods , spices etc ( biggrin)
I found your story very entertaining

Interesting details about your Thanksgiving dinner. Here, we cook the giblets separate; some might grind them for the dressing unless they use sausage in their dressing instead. I usually feed the giblets to our dog.

Oh boy. Or maybe they were polite! This was a funny story and I love how you were able to share it in a flash fiction format. You have a natural way of sharing a story as though we are sitting around the fire talking. Very nicely done.
