Beautiful imagery both with and without your picture... you inspired me such that I had to write the next chapter!! ;) :) Thanx for the uplift today, my lady -- so very welcome with these gray and drizzling skies!! ;) Take care! ;) Yvette

A very well-written addition to the multi-author Renga book. Your couplet show the joy of some deer frollicking after the rain shower nearby the rainbow in the sky.

What a gorgeous artwork and words to match in your 7-7 couplet! Even without the picture I could visualize the scene. Thank you for adding to the Renga book. More cheers- Joan

June, this was absolutely gorgeous, and I am so glad it is Sunday and I have sixes.
Amazing imagery that haunts and stays with the reader. An award winning artwork. I love those deers! The whole thing has this dreamy fairytale quality, and you want to submerge there a little longer.
Two lines that spell volumes.

I really do, except for winter,
when the weather plummets to ?13 degrees//and an actual temperature, not wind chill.
Have a nice week, June.👻🎃

Hello, June,
Beautiful chapter for the renga book. We are almost done with this book but I will start a new one. Your couplet fits in nicely with the previous 5/7/5 poem. Excellent presentation. Good syllable count and connection between lines. Well done!

A lovely addition to the 5/7/5 in this renga series June, the onset of a rainbow in the morning must be something to see, particularly after being misr. A beautifully written Renga, blessings Roy

Janet,
Great use of the artwork to reinforce your 7-7 verse for this collaborative effort. We are lifted in spirit in reading this entry. Hopefully, the next 5-7-5 will be as expressive. I too like to use the poetic contractions for beneath, ever, and never. Often they give a more poetic ring to our words IMHO (-:
Here is my fun alternative to your first line:
Night mist cleanses (or colors) the valley - 'colors' get linked to your rainbow image (-:

Thanks for dropping by to read and share your insights. I had to link my addition to Gypsy's previous entry - a cold mountain scene at night. I wanted to contrast it with a warm misty valley at dawn. The rainbow was just the cherry on top...lol
