Aw, her one hope has gone, all she wants is someone to really love her, and he is scared that he'd come over like one of those pedos. I hope he realises she wants him because she really likes him. This is a wonderful chapter in your book, Misty. Well done. I'll read more tomorrow. :)) Sandra xxx

Thank you so much for reading my chapter. I am so glad you enjoyed it. Poor guy wasn't sure what to do. Of course, his rejection sent her self-worth on a downhill spiral. Hopefully, the two can work something out.

Glad she found a family to look out for her. I never thought of them being used to harvest fields, but I guess that is logical. Just like a slave. Horrible. Looking forward to seeing what happens with Alejandro. Well done.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I do apologize for my late reply. We've been having internet issues. It only works for a short span of time. I think it has to do with the weather. Yes, the traffickers use their victims for a lot of different things.
Thank you again for all your help, support and friendship. It always means the world to me, take care.

Oh the pain she had to go through. Learning to live or relive, never having control over what you do or say. And the moment you find somthing on the verge of being real it somehow gets taken away.

Misty, your writing is so good. You continue to get better as you develop this story and share it with your readers. Each time I read, I am left with emotional feelings and a longing to help. Thanks for making it real through your words.

The vicious cycle for so many, already beaten down and any self worth destroyed as a child, before they even know the first things about life. It's not a pleasant story so far, but it damn sure gives a reader a sense of the misery. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for your marvelous review. It is a horrid cycle what little self worth the pimps don't beat out of them, the sicko or their own minds destroy. Things are going to get a little less bleak for Anna soon.

Hello Mistydawn.

Again the writing is very graphic and describes the horrible conditions that these girls lived under. It's the crime is slavery, kidnapping and worse.

I understand some people responded to Trump talking about coyotes bringing children across the border. The people that responded were ridiculing him because they said a coyote couldn't possibly drag a person across the border. What is the matter with these people? That shows their limited intellect and knowledge. The cartels and coyotes in Mexico love open borders.

No matter which side of the border they are on the crimes against these4 children/girls are inhumane.

It was sad to see the scene with Anna and Alejandro. That demonstrates the complete destruction of her personhood and self esteem.

Thank you so much for reading my chapter. You're right the poor children were never allowed to experience the joys of life going from their cradle to this. It's not just the illegal US citizens are bought, sold, traded every day. Many of the traffickers are people they and their family know and trust.
Demorilizing, degrading them is how the perps get them to do what they want.

Oh, my! What stories you can tell. I feel for all children who suffer such horrific things that they cannot get away from. I hope people are reading and thinking.

Thank you so much for such an encouraging review. If they ever do escape, they're so damaged that it takes a lot of hard work extensive therapy just for them to feel somewhat human again.

That poor kid! It's a wonder she survived. I can't imagine how she could ever be all right. She wouldn't know how to live as a normal person. They should put those men who bought her to work in the fields. Give them a bit of payback.

Thank you so much for reading my chapter. It takes years of hard work, lots of love, understanding, compassion and countless therapy sessions to even begin to live a halfway normal life. In the field with no food, water, stripped naked. If the elements don't get them, the bugs will.

What a sad plight for a fourteen year old. Her childhood has been ripped away and even when she feels she is experiencing something like love her action is rejected. You are writing about things that make we want to cry but I still want to read it because it so well written.

Thank you so much for reading my chapter. Her childhood and everything good in her life, all her hopes, and dreams were stripped away. Unfortunately, she's only one of 300,000,000. She's one of the few that survived.
Thank you again for all your support, your encouraging words, and friendship. It always means so much to me, take care.

A very power message. You will draw the reader with her age when she was thrown to the fields. Also, the reader will question as to whether Alejandro left for a different reason than Anna thought. I think this was more about Alejandro than about Anna. This was a good angle to approach.

Thank you so much for reading my chapter and all your encouraging words. I wanted to show a different side of child, human trafficking. It is more about Alejandro, his upbringing, but I wanted to show how damaged Anna is. Her struggles to feel worthy again. Many believe once they're rescued, they'll be alright, they'll go back to a normal life, but it isn't quite that simple.
