Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

A creative , smart way to draw people's attention on issues like pollution ..

our oceans, seas, streams, lakes are full of it ( mainly plastic) and aquatic life suffers much due to it.

Not to mention the petrol spills that in days cause the agonising death of thousands of birds and the destruction of entire ecosystems.

What we need to understand is today the animals are suffering tomorrow it will be us ..

The money spent to buy the painting is absurd.. I can see in these difficult times certain people still have too much money to squander.

It is just a copy of Monet after all ..

I had just heard on the BBC international about Banksy ( biggrin)

I like the poem because it sparks awareness concerning pollution

I like the artwork

It's informative ... I'm sure many were not aware of what a Banksy was /is before reading your entry.

Congratulations ..you won 2nd place on the podium .. ( cheers)

This 2-4-6-8, Show Me the Monet, has the proper formatting and puts the problem of waste in the proper perspective. ...........

    Bill,

Thanks for your review! Pleased you agreed with my twist on the famous Monet painting. One of Banksy?s work was shredded Into strips by some mechanical device immediately AFTER it was auctioned. Google it - quite amazing

Artful presentation with the picture and the poem going together very well. Nice job following the syllable count for the contest. I enjoyed the author's notes. I wish you the best.

    Thanks for your support for my post. Banksy is an anonymous English painter, but apparently his paintings go for huge prices. Several years ago, immediately AFTER his painting was sold at auction, a planned mechanism shredded the same artwork. Google it - it is worth seeing (-;

I prefer the original Monet painting, but if you gifted me a Banksy, I would not refuse to hang it in my home. In my lifetime, I would not have enough money to buy at auction either.

Thanks for your review and stars.

excellent use of the 2-4-6-8 prompt here to demonstrate to us citizens of the world how our behaviour is affecting our precious planet and maybe getting us to think about the consequences of our actions

    Thanks zanya!

Our precious world has a problem. Will its citizenry listen to the scientists about global warming and other environmental issues or continue to stick their heads in the sand?

Thanks for your support for my contest entry.
