These are encouraging words to those harboring doubt and may be wavering in their faith. The example of Thomas is excellent. He doubted but found grace in Christ's wounds. As you mention, God can't be seen by the naked eye, but Christ is ready to receive them. Lovely artwork to illustrate your point. judi

I am so glad God does search us out and bothers us to remain faithful. I know I need a kick in the pants once in a while. I am glad He is there to do it. He often uses your poems as a reminder.

Oh so you are one of those 'Eternal Security' once saved always saved, so just live life any way you want to, because you can't lose your salvation men. Well so am I. I can do anything, go anywhere, run with anyone I want to BUT I don't
want to. Titus 2:11,12 Your fellow Bond Slave

Roy, what an exceptionally beautiful poem this is! I learned this lesson years ago, but you put it in such eloquent words. That God blesses those who believe in Him, but have not yet seen Him.
Excellent poem.
Best wishes,
Blessings.

Like Thomas, so many want to see first, but that isn't faith, that is knowledge and in this life we walk by faith.
This is a beautiful expression of your faith.
I like especially this line and the imagery it creates in my mind:
Friend, can you hear the silent light

Another beautiful piece of poetry depicting your faith and your love of God. The artwork goes perfectly with the poem, and is quite beautiful. It is such a shame that those closest to us tend to doubt us.

Hope rings Eternal. And here the Doubting Thomas did appear.
"We did not see yet we believe,
our hope's not dead nor is it grieved.
He is not far He lives within.
He honours us, His kith and kin."
There are billions of us in this world who have not seen and yet believe.
I enjoyed this poem.

This poem is a lot like the one I just read. Your scripture verse says he is able to keep you from stumbling but we know we have stumbled an it is our own fault, doubt creeps in. It is good to know that God understands and holds on to us anyway.

A very well-written poem about doubting Thomas who need to see before he believes. Sometimes we also doubt the truth and want to see first if Something is true or will work before we believe.

When believers fail--especially when we fail often--to demonstrate our faith through word or deed, we are much like the disciples when they denied knowing Jesus or ran and hid! Your excellent poem has moved me deeply.
