This 5-7-5 for November, A Lovely Time, has the proper formatting and uses the senses to greet and say goodbye to the season through the chill, sights, and sounds of fall.

"A Lovely Time", is short, succinct, and very much to the point. With a minimum of words, this talented poet has told it as it is. Good luck with the contest.

Hi Mystery Poet,
Just the other day, I saw about a hundred Canada Geese in three straggly V's, heading south. We've had quite a few on various lawns in Saint John for over a month now. They're congregating. Just in the adjacent field, Carvill's Field, we've had geese everyday for about a week. That's what the Cratchit's had for their Christmas feast!
I enjoyed your 5-7-5 November poem. Geese, colorful leaves falling, and cool breezes. That spells the end of Autumn, and Christmas is right around the corner. I also love this time of year, before winter's blast. I'll take the honking any day!
Good Luck in the contest!
Cheers,
Kimbob

Yes the title is interesting - a description of the month of November with its characteristic combination of 'chilly air ' and those 'Gorgeous leaves' that 'blanket the ground '

I really like your poem, but I don't associate a lovely time with the cold. We've already had snow with more to come in Minnesota. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

You have made excellent use of your seventeen syllables in this lovely piece. You paint an appealing picture of nature's sights and sounds in mid-fall at its cool best.

Agree on loving this time of year. This is timely, as today will driving, just as I was looking at the colors of the trees in Massachusetts; We are at our peak, a flock of geese took off from the pond where I was driving.
So this poem brought that scene back to me today.
Good luck in the contest.
