Well done. A lovely querying poem about time. My take on time is that it is like our souls (spirit) and the air, hidden, but prevalent in its use. Not only does it fly by but it marches on. LOL. Its use is dire.

Thanx so much for your review here, my lady!! ;) You know, I really had no idea this was not a blind contest when I entered it - when the first review came in addressing me directly I was completely flummoxed! ;) Yeah, I know, silly blonde.... right? :) But I am so very glad that you enjoyed it and I do so appreciate your comments, Ralf - thank you!! :) ;) Take care of you out there and enjoy the weekend! ;) Yvette

Yvette,
I like that you point out that insects and birds, and nature in general have an inner time piece to keep in tune with time on earth. Birds know when the seasons are approaching, and flowers sometimes die when they bloom on time, but spring comes a little late. (Frost)
Wonderful poem, and photo Yvette.
Good luck in the contest.
Best wishes, Cindy

This is a daily contemplation. I was just telling Jackson we'll be decorating for Christmas soon. It takes me forever because of my eyesight.

I'm still taking one day at a time although it seems to fly. A wonderful 8/6 poem for the contest, dear Yvette. No form seems to Jared for you. A splendid offering for today.
Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the contest,
Sal XOs.....

A very well-written 8/6 poem with second line rhyming. The time flies when we waste the time instead of use each minute the time that goes by is lost forever, that is why the birds, bees, and moths never see the time flies.

"Ever Wonder?", is an extremely well-written, and delightfully descriptive piece. It was a pleasure to both read and review, this talented poet's work.
Hmmmm!, doesn't quite cover it. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Good use of rhymes and near rhymes to create this ballad poem. I like the sense of wonder and the gentle acceptance of some things one can never know for certain. Best wishes in the contest!!

This is an humorous and you are right about all the animal who seem to be in cahoots with time. I really like the picture that visualizes the fly of the time.

Read about Joshua Bach's work. He is a famous AI expert who thinks our brains can only be explained as computer simulations. He is very popular and you can find a lot of YouTube videos of him being interviewed. He gave a TED talk, too.

Hello Yvette.

I appreciate your interpretation of time and how it effects everything around it. Your descriptive language narrates the passage. I wrote many months ago that I compared life to a tunnel. It sits still and we pass through it.

Ohhhh... I do like that last line there, Z. :) If you ever have a few minitues on your hands, you should click over to my portfolio and read the story 'Time Weaver'.... pretty interesting (if I do say so myself - wink, wink). ;) :) You know, I really had no idea this was not a blind contest when I entered it - when the first review came in addressing me directly I was completely flummoxed! ;) Yeah, I know, silly blonde.... right? :) But I am so very glad that you enjoyed it and I do so appreciate your comments - thank you!! :) ;) Take care of you out there and enjoy the upcoming weekend! ;) Yvette

This is a complicated form of poetry and you have done a wonderful job with it, Yvette. Time is actually a complicated subject. It is amazing how our emotions can cause it to seem to pass extremely fast or creep along at other times. I enjoyed reading this, especially with the inclusion of animals in each of the verses. Best wishes in the contest! :-) Janet

You do like a challenge:) I have often asked myself where does time fly to; vacation, the Bahama's, maybe Guadalajara; who knows, certainly not the birds or the bee's or moths:) Great job as always I like the illustration the verse and the presentation. thanks for posting
