I like the literal approach. It makes things fun. It reminds me of a children's book called Amelia Bedilia. "Could you hit the lights?" Phrases or idioms we just take for granted. "Time flying." Clever.

Time does fly - I think it's the computer's fault - it's addictive. Or maybe it's our muse. All I know is it's swift! and I've got wrinkles to prove it.
Birds and bees and moths are pretty secretive. I guess they figure we live longer than they do so why should we care how time flies. Can you tell i'm sleep deprived?

This is one form I did not even try to write. It just seemed so complicated, but you made it seem so easy! I really enjoyed this piece with the premise of how time flies and yet,l it does not make any sense. But of course, it's because the birds, bees and moths are conspiring to hide it.
