This is beautifully written and almost sumptuous. Great use of metaphors and imagery. And, the artwork is perfect. Congratulations...you're worthy of one of my sixes.

Hi Alice. This poem deserves six stars but I have squandered early this week. So sorry. I love this entire poem but especially these lines:
"skimming love's surface
in search of
the musician
who once
whispered
them to life"
Bless you, my friend. (I owe you one) Bob

beautifully written poem of the loss that gave her music life and inspiration. Your reader in this writing can hear the silence.
Well done.

Mary

A very well-written heartfelt poem about a couple who live in harmony is broken when the one is taken away when words cannot find the melody without the other.

This is a touching poem that I'm sure many can relate too. Its hard to believe now, but you will find the music again. Its all around us, just waiting to be listened to. Thanks for sharing this lovely verse.

The author's words are sad, interesting, clear and creative. The poem
expresses well strong details of feeling felt. I pondered on the theme
of these words. The poem flows and connects well. The artwork goes
well with this poem. Hope you had a great weekend!

This is a lovely presentation of both a well composed poem and a really creative sillouette. The sadness when a break-up occurs can really make one feel paralysed.

This is a wonderfully done poem in the romantic tradition.
I liked "silent instrument,,,without a melody."
The last five lines were my personal favorites.
As we are living in 2020, I feel compelled to say that a woman is fine on her own and can have a very meaningful life without a partner.
As a gently aging woman with a romantic heart, my preferences run much more to love than to political correctness.
Well done.

Beautifully written poem. Love your wording and your writing style. In the lingering shadow of his parting. She began her odyssey into the morrows sea of loneliness. Without him
She was a silent instrument wandering through empty lyrics without a melody. Well
Done. Awesome photo.
