Hi Melissa, so very true. The written word, whether prose or poem, can be used with a brutal force. Just as you say in your wonderful twenty words' poem. It has proved to be so during the centuries. Good luck. Ulla:)))

This is another well-written poem for this contest. I think your indentation is perfectly matched for your 20 words of text. It gives a special flow to your concept of the art of poetry. Do like the balance among moving thing, brute force, and delicate wing. Good use of your lone capitalization and punctuation too.

The contrasts within poetry are described here most succinctly and also poetically both because of the end rhyme and the effective imagery conjured up by the word choice. This should catch the judges eye.

This is a very poetic offering, especially the closing line Sugarray !
... depending the message it wants to convey a poem has the power to deal out a punch or cradle us sweetly .. make us shed a tear or make us laugh.
