Wow, this poem makes me happy, too. The imagery presented within is just stellar. I love the way you descrined the shades of blue. I truly enjoyed the moment living in your words.

You certainly have spread joy with your words. It can be felt in this verse. In some places your line breaks can be improved but that is just me...I have a thing about line breaks. LOL
Well done
Cheers

So funny, Rose - I had to laugh, because the review that followed yours said how intelligently my line lengths were chosen - as you said, each to his own ... and yes, they could indeed be varied a little, according to one's personal interpretation. :)Sharyn

Well, I asolutely love this poem Sharyn! It makes ME happy to read it. Coffee in bed, gorgeous scenery by the ocean/sea, and fabulous imagery you brought to life so beautifully through your use of multiple poetic devices in this free verse poem. What's not to love? I especially appreciated how intelligently you chose your line lengths and pauses. Delightful read! Hugs, Sue

A beautiful poem my dear one. You make me cry as I long for that type of relationship and her finally arriving later this year. So sweet and awesome this poem. So simple and beautiful in its simple heart felt love. Thank you

You're welcome little butterfly.

You have a gift of simpatico and dialectal delivery. This ingenuousness keeps the poem from descending into Hallmark card vernacular. Repeated references and articulated questions are not easy to pull off, but this poem is successful.

Another gorgeous paean of praise for life.
You are right, it is the little things which give us joy if we take the time to notice.
I like the shape of this poem. It begins slowly with your sensual awakening and then from the "wind's curve of highway" gathers pace as if you are driving free along the shoreline with the day at your feet.
Very uplifting.

Thx so much Andrea - keep an eye out for my new one - totally "formal" (but rather funny, if I do say so myself).

What a feel good poem I enjoyed reading it even though today is overcast and gray it makes me think of two days ago with my son and his dog playing in the back yard exploring the over growth and the sun glinting off his blond hair. I love the magic child part as parents are children are magic.

Bless you for your magic 'six' on this one my dear - isn't it funny how little it takes sometimes, to find the magic in our day?

Your welcome and the sun came out and my 5 year old son is outside right now with his rubber boots finding mud puddles to stomp in with our Lab helping him out. They are both going to need a bath tonight. Lol

How lovely just to watch that innocence, yes? And soap & water are cheap, thank goodness! :))
