This is a very good poem to read if you're looking for a wonderful trip to the beach. Sand dollars are a particular favorite of mine. Wishing you the best of luck in the contest. Happy Writing. Blessed Be.

Poet,
Your free verse oozes sensational happiness with terrific imagery crested by your pen.
The art work you used is adorable of the wide-eyed child.
In your free verse you used exclellent alliteration: "sleepy soft sand,
sighing in the sun"
You used wonderful personification: "smiling trade winds."
You also used grest metaphors: "inside God's golden shells, jeweled with silver sparkles & we skimmed on-a-whim."
I enjoyed your lines;
dancing
with
your
shadow
surrounded
by the wind
singing
in
the
spiral
of
the
leaves
I wish you good luck in the contest
I'd recommend your exquisite poem to other reviewers.
Please have a happy day,
Missy.

This was a wonderful poem--I could see you, with your child, letting the breeze move your hair, and caught in this perfect, happy moment. Very nice.

Your beautiful photograph introduces your well-penned poem of happiness. You painted a picture with your words, carrying us with you back in time when your were young. Your memories of your young child and you at the beach warmed this reviewer's heart.

This is a wonderful poem. There's nothing quite like watching your children play on the beach. You've captured the moment well with this piece, but your words seem to mirror the picture, so I'm wondering if it was your inspiration.
Excellent work. :)

Thx so much Ed - no, the poem actually came first, and I combed thru Google for ages trying to find something to fit - though I have a photo "somewhere" in my collection. It's a day that I will always remember.

Sounds like a wonderful memory. I would hate to have to brush those curly locks. I remember the pain and my curls were not that tight. LOL Love the picture and the poem though. Very well done. Very happy poem. Good luck. Nancy
