Behind every great feminine woman is a stupid man who follows his cock and forgets to turn the lights on...ooopss hope I didn't offend the 49% of the population that's left to read this particular one...lol...good rant my friend xoxo Kiwi

This was such a good read - I took as a bit tongue in cheek although whoever should trust a woman?! I'm sure that there wouldn't be enough space to write one about the wrongs of man though!! jennieclare

Tut, tut! How can you say that Man has ever done anything wrong? It's just that you devious women don't understand and appreciate us! Thanks for the review and the six stars - bit of a shooting star yourself I see with a flood of good work since you joined...

I really enjoyed this, quite a history buff myself, so this was entertaining on many different levels. You managed to keep a tight, control flow throughout without hindering the content. An excellent write, my friend,

Thanks for that - I'm NOT a history buff, so just general knowledge stuff for me - I had to check up on a few things for this. You may be interested to know that I am planning a Brief History' series - Britain, America, the World (that'll be a doozie!), Eng Literature etc. I can see I'll be doing a fair bit of research to make sure I don't get it all wrong!

That actually sounds quite interesting, I'll have to keep tabs on you!

You have a poetic walk through time here. This must have took a bit of time just to write and research all the facts. I enjoyed reading and writing a response for this most excellent piece of poetic artistry... John

No it didn't offend, it made me laugh out loud. You have a real talent for breaking things down and making them humorous. I think we ladies are strong enough to take the blame, like they say "don't hate me because I'm beautiful" You can't live with us (apparently), but you can't live without us.

Thank you - I am hoping enough people like this sort of thing, as I have an idea for a kind of series of 'Brief Histories'

Where were you when I was at school doing history? No, neither of us was born. You had a lot of fun writing and I had immense fun reading to the summation. It was fun to start with and then it got into even greater word play (from Helen, I think). A rollicking expose of my antecedents - and, now you can add Liz Taylor!
I thought of leaving out 'Trojan' There is a comma before so it will still mean the same. Just a thought. Great fun!

Thank you so much for that - Yes, it was quite a fun poem to write and nice to know it is making people smile. As for Liz Taylor, she might make it into a planned 'Brief History of the Movies'.

I can cope, despite being female ;P It's funny, well written, with a good rhythm and I particularly like the last two verses...silly men, eh? One thing though, the guillotine is usually referred to as Madame la Guillotine, isn't it?

Hahahaha! I don't think anyone will find offense anywhere in this well written piece showing the importance and power of women throughout history. But for some reason, I feel many a women smirking and saying "Oh yeah you better believe it" Well done, well done. Ray :)
