Ah, so nice! These triolets just lull me into a feeling of calm for some reason. Did I tell you this already? I can only explain it by the hypnotic repetition of the line. I love it, Brooke.

This is a lovely Christmas poem done as a reflective triolet. It would be wonderful if everyone would realize the value of peace on earth and work toward making that a reality.

Hello Brook,
Lovely poem/song about Christmas.
Your happy thoughts should put everyone in the mood for Christmas, which I need right now.

Oh - if we all realized the meaning and worth of those Holy words!
This is a lovely Christmas poem.
I enjoyed the lilting rhythm and joyful feel.
I'm curious why you capitalized Earth. No biggie - just curious. ;) LOL

I always capitalize Earth when it is naming our planet as opposed to when it is dirt, like, digging in the rich earth. I also capitalize Jupiter, etc. Thank you for such a gracious review, Nic. :-) Brooke

Again a marvelous use of this form. Somehow you make it feel contemporary and relevant.
I especially like:
as carols sing of peace on Earth
that we might realize the worth
found in these pure and Holy words
as carols sing of peace on
It is almost impossible to imagine "peace on earth"...we have never had it.
Conflict and violence seems to be hardwired. And, we seem to say we follow Him, but most never really do.

Boy! The turkey is done and the left-over pie is eaten, and off you go with Christmas! LOL Beautiful but wouldn't expect anything less. I like the repeated phrases in the structure. Takes just a little different meaning with each usage.deb:)

Oh, my, you're already up to the caroling and I haven't finished reading all the Thanksgiving entries! But you are forgiven for jumping the gun, since your title and repeated line is so beautiful in this triolet. The elegant artwork (not much abstraction in this one!) you chose also seems to be from a carol.
