Linda,
I like the metaphor of the manaquin sitting still to remember. It fits the artwork well. The poem asks the question we all ask about whether the life we life merits going to Heaven. It shows we have both good and bad memories and that we are meant to learn and grow from them.

Yes, we are the sum total of our experiences - the good, the bad and sometimes the ugly. They mold us into who we have become. I enjoyed your trek down memory lane. And I like the way you began the journey - with a mannequin - but ended with a smiling human...content.

Hello L. Raven,
A clear SIXER!
Lovely piece of poetry having impressive phraseology, smooth, spontaneous, and enchanting flow throughout from the beginning to the end with lively imagery at several places.
Picture enhances beauty of the poem.
"and I am reminded
good or bad
it is all my memories lived
that made me who I am
and I smile."
Superb!

Your poem made me think, have I done all I could? I know I could have done a lot better, I know I could. You, my dearest friend, are my personal angel, you were sent to watch over me and buck me up when I needed a kind word. I love your poem, but I know you have more of those gold nuggets for memories than the silver ones. :)) Love you lots, my friend. Stay safe and sending you a humongous hug!! :)) Sandra xxxx

Yes, the total of our life's experiences, those remembered and those forgotten, define who we are today.
On reflecting on those good times and bad, you're pleased to conclude you weathered them to your satisfaction.
Time well spent, Linda!

This is a very poignant and moving write, covering issues I'm sure we've all confronted. memories, events in our lives, good and bad, decisions we made and their consequences shape us. Well done.

Yes it's so true Linda, the past made us what we are, and yet I had two daughters, both loved equally, both raised in a loom of love and it served them well, but yet they are as different as chalk cheese, but as two peas in a pod. Well done my friend, beautifully woven and scribed, well done, blessings, Roy

A beautifully written poem about memories made. I too, often contemplate my past and whether I made the right decisions in certain circumstances. I tend to live in the past a little too much however. Very nice reflective piece!

Comment from Cass Carlton
This is beautiful. It is very much "my kind of poem" because at my time of life I too look back and wonder "what if".There is one Spag. In the last line of the second last verse "to" should be "too" at least that's how I read it.
The artwork is brilliant. so right for this piece, just a girl sitting looking out at the rain . Something I loved to do. The words about the good and bad memories struck a deep note with me. My treasured memories are those I relive and put myself to sleep with at night.I have a sister who told me she does the same. Your poem ends on an optimistic note with the realization that the memories you hold are the very fabric of your existence. And that can't be a bad thing. Can it?cheers Cass
