Jimi, this is a wonderful piece, illustrating perhaps that what we see as cravings don't come near what we really crave.

Your imagery is an evocative feast of the senses - sound, smell, touch, sight, are all explored in their deliciousness. It would be hard to select one line to outdo the others here.

What a great poem! Not exactly what I was expecting with the title "Crave". I love how you describe things so well. Coffee pot gurgling sugar lump hitting the cup, sound of the clock ringing 8 chimes. Almost feels like I'm experiencing it myself! So glad in the end you fully appreciate your fulfilled life. Wonderful poem, it flows beautifully and really gives a sense of life. I especially enjoyed the start with the description of the early morning activities described rather than listed, it really worked.
