What a beautiful story in a poem Dean, I loved it, it would be a great item to be read in Sunday school to encourage youngsters, beautiful words to pour salve on a sinking heart! There's a few places that could reworded to give it perfect, but still a great poem Dean, I'm proud of you, what chances a neighbouring, kind and good Pastor finding it, God knows how to encourage a little boy! God sent my daughter to New York, to lead a women's fellowship in worship and a pastoral role, in answer to two years Of prayer, spectacular! Blessing, my friend, Roy.

What a touching story, especially as it's based on
true events. Such a lovely thing for Reverend Collier to do
for a child. I'm glad you saved it.
Excellent rhyme and meter and a heartwarming poem.
Thanks so much for sharing. Nancy

So beautifully penned.
So pure. So innocent.
A most precious prayer and wonderful bottle idea.
And so very young...
Yes, praise God He does have His ways.
And all the glory be unto Him.
Have a blessed evening.

Dean;
Even though this is a reality your imagination to embroider or enhance the story, in poetic form, is very imaginative and truly inventive and ingeniously creative.
And as usual, your rhyming is done very well even helps with your rhythmic flow which seems to flow smoothly throughout your writing.
The imagery is magnificently spontaneous for the reader and very descriptive and delicately expressive throughout: "My son do not worry about the questions you might have, for in my word my voice is heard, a gentle, soothing salve. Send your burdens to me in prayer, I'll answer right a way, and when in doubt, do not spell it out, get on your knees and pray." Of all the verses in your writing this one I acknowledged the most. Though the others were fantastic and do not get me wrong.
Thank you so much for sharing and posting this Dean and made the good Lord be with you always.

Another great poem, Dean, about a young boy's questions about life's hard times. Love the message back from the older man. Good advice for us all. Nice AABB rhyme scheme. Thanks for sharing.

What a wonderful story and beautifully told in your poem. God used that pastor to speak to your heart and now He's using you to touch hearts here. Little did that pastor know that his act of kindness would be spread in such a way. Amazing! :)

As much as your stories and poems of horror, death and destruction definitely deserve a six, this sweet, uplifting and heartwarming tribute most assuredly deserves one.
Something like this, I would believe, only happens but once in a lifetime and not to very many people.
A blessing in disguise, nope, this one screams loudly that it is such. A wonderful memory to have, a lovely memory to revisit and a blessing to cherish always. Well done...Jean

Excellent Poem! The poem is extremely inspiring. The author's words are filled with faith, hope and love. The reader found this poem filled with risk, trust and believing. Thank you for the author's notes which were heart felt.
