You send out a very positive message with your poem. It's common sense, even for the layman, but it's a good reminder to be had. I'd suggest a slightly yes orangey-yellow background...made reading the text a tad difficult.

Such a beautiful piece, proclaiming unyielding love of the Father, which always, without fail, yields much come harvest time...

Harvest time for the Lord is ongoing for His servants
Fields are golden and are ready, ripened to abundance
When planted carefully, with love, to cover every grain
God will provide the increase, countless as the drops of rain---------------------->Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you."

Each soul will bloom and multiply, to bring more to His side
As ever we press onward, and in His will abide
Do we share the love He gave, and let all know it's free
Or do we keep it to ourselves, and hoard for you and me--------------> 2 Corinthians 5:19 That is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation

Is the Harvest just for us, to enjoy and consume
Not so my friends, in Heavens house, we are told are many rooms
In that City of Gold, with Pearly Gates, there's 'naught of time nor space
The Lord of Harvest freely bestows, the gift, of matchless Grace--------------->2 John 1:8 Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward...

Harvest time, to mortal souls, mere seasons there are none
The time to sow, the time to reap, in time, life's work is done.
Rest now, ye weary laborers, with sickles laid aside
Rest now, forevermore to live, and with the Lord reside------------->Revelation 5:9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

This is a fine faith poem for the contest. The rhyme scheme you have chosen works well. The first two lines could be improved regarding the rhyme but otherwise it's a lovely poem and the bright yellow you chose with the picture is lovely. Regards Dorothy

The message is beautiful, so is the comparison. Just one small remark, the yellow is too striking for reading the words. Maybe if the writing is in black it would take away the striking color. But I read it. Terry. no offense.

Indeed, friend, much glad I am to grace ,
Your puerile work, whose speckless love unbound -
Pervades even tender warmth in me ,
And wins my heart in mirthful notes profound .

What poetics wondrous - rhyming quatrains grand ;
The cadence, artful, like a river swells :
Reviews ? - Flawless ! - What's their need at all ?
Its admirers this charming work entails ! ....

Indeed, what a poem ! ( refers to your one, obviously ! ) OUTSTANDING PIECE ! - SIMPLY UNPARALLELED ! ....

The narrative exuberance thereof, is particularly delightful ; it undertakes to paint in my mind, the fascinating impression of a peaceful countryside, wherein men have all assembled in lending unto The Lord, their wholehearted Thanksgiving, over a dainty Harvest. I happen to like this poem very much indeed ... Hence, beloved friend, let me extend to you gladly, all my wholehearted & choicest wishes for this impending competition. May you shine thence, as bright as the eternal sun, manifesting ubiquitously, the sparkling essence of your eternal warmth & glory .....
:)

A wonderful opening verse covering God's bounty.

Rest now, forevermore to live, and with the Lord reside

A poem that goes full circle. From our time on earth doing the will of God; to our final rest. Very nice.

This well-written, profoundly spiritual poem effectively tells the truth about what the Lord wants us to do--feed His sheep! Excellent

A very settling poem. God's in his heaven; all is right with the world provided we acknowledge him. Your metaphor of a field of wheat is very fine but what about the dark side of life. "Verily, verily, I say unto thee/ lest an ear of corn falleth into the ground and die/ It abideth alone./
But if it die, it will bringeth forth much fruit. Can we acknowledge life and the glory of God without recognizing the reality of death? The penultimate verse hints at it. We must admire the poet's faith. -Ekim777

And in so dying (as in the ear of corn) it can then re-germinate and bring forth corn again, so then it will not abide alone. Death is reality as you said and can not be denied. I appreciate your comments so much, Carolyn

What an awesome poem. I live on a farm and know all about wheat harvest. We don't do it for ourselves, we feed the world. Love this. You might check out my story, if you haven't already, called: Raising More Than Wheat.
