Wow! What did he put in that coffee? :)
I feel so invigorated, so happy. An undervalued word if there ever was one. A surprise and so much fun to fall headlong into the tumble of poetic words finishing the poem. Just as the gull suddenly plummets.

You clever girl.

visionary1234--WOW! You've taken the simple ordinary and
made it extraordinary; you've turned the mundane into ex-
ceptional; and lastly, you've given credit to the Source
for the miracle of it all. And because we here in the U S
of A, are so blessed, we take it too much for granted! The
page layout of strophes are conducive to an ease of read
and provide a quickening flow as the pace and stimulating
words gather speed of a babbling brook cascading down the
page via alliterations and sparse rhymes. An electrifying
creative write. teafor2

I typically find that when a piece is adjective heavy, it pulls away from the intended message. Not so here, as the intent of the message as I read it was in fact to ask the reader to be aware of the many facets of life that tend to go overlooked during a busy day. I found this to be a pleasant concept and enjoyed it very much.

So much wonder we have to see- you're right! If only we stopped rushing full speed with the blinds shut and peeked just for a moment... We would see the shining sun and the beautiful wonders that this world has to offer. Well said, loved your descriptions, especially: God's whole world is pulsing in sunlight:-)

good internal rhyme in leap deep
and alliteration in run red
I love the illustrative examples of the things the speaker is grateful for like her thoughtful husband's kind gesture of bringing her coffee
excellent consonance of soft s sounds in pulsing with sunlight
lovely detail of setting with strong sensory appeal
this is a delightfully celebratory poem of appreciation :-) Brooke

Dazzling imagery, vertically challenged...popping
falling..dropping..I guess I'm in awe really by the whole kaleidoscope of emotions running riot, offset by a stream of consciousness full of colors blazing, sizzling indicative of sexual rapture ie. '..joyous periwinkle day?
Excellent work as usual and a pleasant interlude in my day. Thank you. Deserves a 6.

This was a great read, Sharyn. I love how it picks up speed in the change of form and the vivid details within the quick-paced ending. Adding wording that appeals to not only the ear, but the senses, with the "fizzing, popping, falling, dropping" was fantastic. Nicely done, as always. -Zak

Yes! The simple pleasures of observing the beauty that is all around us. If we stop and look around we would see the myriad shades of blue and how white show itself in so many things we can see if we would "stop running for just a moment ... and look around ..."
