Food for deep thought. Getting trapped by visitors of the night can be fatal. A powerful message and a warning against erroneous paths.

Thanks for reviewing. Your comments are appreciated -- Craig

A very well-written sonnet about the spider's mission to spin his web and catch as many insects as he can. Sometimes we are caught in a web of lies and love that we need to escape from, if we can.

This poem made me smile. It was very creepy and I felt my skin crawl. I hate spiders so, the picture just added to the terror lol. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

We are all ensnared to some extent by life's tempting gems. I enjoyed your sonnet about the fate of the fly or moth to the spider! I wish you luck with the sonnet contest, love Dolly x

Well, this is an impressive use of metaphor, Craig. A fine sonnet.
'Why is it that we seldom can foretell
the sad conclusion of our errant ways?'
This is a very true statement. I also wonder why it is that we never listen to anyone who can, and does foretell it.
A good one, should do well in the contest.
