It is short, sweet and to the point. I too am hoping for a better year. I read the other day, "You have survived 100% of your worst days." Wow! So true.
Well done and good luck in the contest and Happy New Year.

Two-thousand, fifteen.
Good Year. All went well. Sense self.
Hoping for better.
Yes, we all should hope to do better this year then last. And I don't mean only on FS, but in our lives and in how we approach and treat one and other. Happy new years my friend. John

I have only one adverse comment to make on this obviously tongue-in-cheek review of the year just gone and that is, how do you make five syllables out of 2015? Most ways you say it don't work:
Twen-ty-fif-teen = 4 syllables
Two-oh-one-five = 4 syllables
Two-thou-sand-and-fif-teen = 6 syllables
Two-thou-sand-fif-teen = Bingo! 5 syllables but you need to write it like this in your presentation.
Two-zer-o-one-five = Bingo again! 5 syllables but as above you need to write it like that.
Unlike the haiku and senryu forms the 5-7-5 must conform to the linear syllable count not a maximum of 17 syllables overall. They will disqualify you otherwise. I'll give you a five because you'll obviously change it.
Oh one other possibility "Year Twenty Fifteen" rates five syllables.
2nd review. That's better.

Thank you for your help. I have been debating changing the first line as there has been this confusion in reading it. Perception is everything. Happy New Year to you and yours.

It is amazing how much wisdom and inspiration can fit into three short and concise lines. Like all Haiku poems, the sense is sketched in by implication and is always promising. -Ekim777

Hi - I give you 5 stars for the content. But I cannot work out the 5/7/5. Lines two and three are clear, but I cannot work out line one. LOL. Good Luck - Happy New Year, Dorothy

Fine, I am here, doing my review, see your notes, evaluated you.
Good but it reads like a note in your notebook. I actually bought my very first notebook diary for 2016. I thought if I wrote everything down in notebooks, I'd be ok. No. So I need to know the day, the date and everything now in a DIARY.
Boy I'm dumb.
good work.

It is indeed short, sweet and to the point. Fine ode to a good year. I suggest writing out 2015 in alphabets:
Two-Thousand-Fifteen
I like the closing note. Good, but hoping for better.
Good luck in the contest.
Happy New Year.
Warmly, rd

Nice job on this ode 5-7-5! Your words make the reader reflect on the year that is now behind us and look forward to the year in front of us. We had hardships and pain this year, but we also had blessings and laughter. Thank you for sharing. Good luck in the contest!

Although there are some parts of this year I would like to forget, most of 2015 has been good to me, I'm looking forward now to what lies ahead for this year. A well written piece for the contest, good luck...Jacob
