The future is indeed uncertain and we can only control small parts of it. Exerting control over what we can and leaving the rest to God works for me. Maybe I am naive, but I prefer that to constant worry about what might or might not happen. An interesting perspective~Debbie

I believe THOUGHTS MAKE A BILLIONAIRE is a piece that you cannot read straight through and think, "Ah, this is what the author wants readers to perceive." This story allows a reader, if they chose, to use their perception of what you would like the readers to connect with. Everyone has their very own opinion of what makes one rich.
In your story it was land transferring from one party to another party which will make your character a billionaire. for someone else it could be a book, a phrase or a smile that makes one feel like the richest person in the world.
I enjoyed this piece of writing because it made me stop and think. All the best.

I've often thought a lot about how people always picture in their heads what they think is best for them and they get angry and upset when things don't go the way they had planned for themselves. Truth is, we really can't predict what will happen to us but in my experience you realize later that everything that had happened, even if it wasn't what you wanted in a certain point of time, is indeed the best case scenario. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts :)

I don't know if you're saying we shouldn't hope or wish for change. There's little doubt no one knows the future. All one can do is the best with what one is given, and all we are given is the one present moment of NOW. Everything else is either past, or in the unknowable futur.
I wonder where you're from, that a fertilizer shop is considered a fine wedding present.
Short enough to try to make sense of it. I think you're getting a bit clearer.

I like the wisdom you impart here....young people see the possibility of getting something for little or nothing....life is not what you expect it to be....I told my kids...things are never as good as they seem or as bad as they seem either
God bless well done

Interesting thoughts that should cause us all to stop the whirling tornado of our thoughts for a moment. But, then our little squirrel of a mind jumps back on his wheel and is off again. Thanks for sharing your colorful insights. Ya, and I can see a manure shop as a wedding gift ha, ha.

Well, once again incredibly self indulgent as I doubt many will understand this except the author.
And this from the author notes:
"I know it is not so catchy but you will enjoy the truth"
Uh, no. Readers decide what they enjoy, not the author.

Don't we have free will? Does God decide everything? Isn't it good that the future is unknown? And as for the fertilizer shop - I'm still waiting!

Hey, I really enjoyed this one, Alcreator Litt Dear! You still have a small problem with grammar, but this was much easier to understand, and a fascinating tale. Well done!

This was interesting. I never know whether the authors of these type pieces are seeking my opinion of the subject matter or my opinion of their writing technique.
Your writing technique feels like a stream of internal dialogue.. The subject matter is interesting, in that we are our thoughts.
